This beautiful stoneware beer stein was handcrafted in Germany by Thewalt. This new 1/2 liter stein is about 9" tall and has a pewter lid. The detailed relief is handpainted and features men and women in a beer garden. The stein banner says "Schon ist die Jugend bei frohen Zeiten, Schon ist die Jugend sie kommt nicht mehr" (Youth is beautiful in happy times, youth is beautiful and does not return). This piece is limited to 2,500 pieces worldwide.

Thewalt has been producing exceptional steins since 1893 and is one of only a few remaining German stein companies that still produce 100% of their steins in Germany with 100% German materials and labor. Unfortunately, Thewalt has announced that they will end production in May 2009.
